On May 25, 2024, the third edition of the “Oriental Cup” Nigerian China Chamber of Commerce Table Tennis League, hosted by the Nigerian China Chamber of Commerce and expertly organized by Huawei Nigeria Company, concluded with great success in Abuja. The event was graced by the presence of Li Xuda, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and Director of the China Cultural Center in Nigeria, who delivered an inspiring opening address.

The tournament not only showcased thrilling displays of athleticism on the table tennis courts but also fostered cultural exchange and camaraderie among participants. Amidst cheers and competitive spirit, players from diverse backgrounds came together, celebrating the shared love for the sport and strengthening bonds between Nigeria and China.

The grand "Oriental Cup" Nigerian China Chamber of Commerce Table Tennis League unfolded with splendor, drawing a multitude of participants to Abuja. The men's singles event saw 32 skilled contenders, while 10 talented women showcased their prowess in the singles category. In the men's doubles, 12 dynamic pairs battled it out, and 6 spirited teams engaged in intense competition in the team event. The lively atmosphere attracted nearly 50 competitors and enthralled around 100 spectators.

Amidst this spirited contest, the team from BGICC emerged as shining stars of the tournament. They triumphed in the women's singles and team competitions, showcasing their prowess and unity. Additionally, they secured second place in the men's singles, women's singles, and men's doubles events, claiming a total of 5 prestigious awards.
