MONGOLIA'S NEW GOVERNMENT SEEKS STRONGER RELATIONS WITH CHINA

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is in Mongolia for a two-day visit, and to attend the 11th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit in the capital, Ulan Bator.


Li has met with the country's President and Prime Minister with both countries pledging to forge stronger bonds and deepen cooperation in fields such as agriculture and infrastructure.


Li and his Mongolian counterpart have also witnessed the signing of 15 cooperation agreements covering trade, technology and communications.


This is Li's first trip to Mongolia since taking office and also the first by a Chinese premier in six years.
