The Executive Governor of Katsina State visited the Danja Earth Dam & Access Road Construction Project by 2ndJune with his cabinet members.

This is the first visit after the contract is awarded to MCC and the fully mobilized and commencement of the project. During his visit the Governor has inspected the cofa dam which has over 1 million cubic water reservation for the construction, the dam foundation which has been excavated and under treatment, the spill way which is under blasting to excavate the rocks, the quarry for protection rock, the access road which is fully accessible, the crashing plant for chippings production, the sand plant and other material production site as well.

The honorable commissioner for water resources, the project consultant and MCC site team reported the progress, the achievement and the challenges the project during the visit. The Governor finally addressed to all state holders about his happiness on this visit and appreciated MCC on the quality works and commitment. He assured MCC and the project monitoring team his best support to the project to make sure the completion and the commissioning within 2021. Also he called on MCC to continue the standard on the quality control and make sure the commissioning target been achieved for the benefit of Katsina People.
