On Oct. 6th, 2022, Mutual Commitment Group (MCG) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the 2.5MW solar hybrid power plant project at Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, Nigeria.

The Executive Director of MCG Mr. Peter Peng and his technical team on site welcomed the Honorable Minister of Defence Maj. Gen. Bashir S.M., Honorable Minister of Power, Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Navy Staff, Kaduna State Government Officials, NDA Management Staff, Chairman and the Managing Director of Rural Electrification Agency (REA), media teams and other invited guests to the occasion.

The Ceremony was chaired by the Honorable Minister of Defence Maj. Gen. Bashir S.M. and coordinated by Mr. Peter Peng who took the Ministers, Service Chiefs and delegates, along-side other presenting guests around the site for further detailed explanations and information on the ongoing project.

The project is an initiative of REA in partnership with MCG to support NDA by providing additional 2.5MW of energy, to ensure adequate and uninterrupted power supply and also to improve the security system in NDA and its environs.

This project is sited on 400 by 700 meters land, and MCG is to complete and commission the project before October 2023.
