On 24 October 2022, Mr. Wang Feilong, CEO of MCC, on behalf of MCC company joined with Mr. MD AHMAD SALIHIJO AHMAD of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA for short), Ministry of Electricity of Nigeria,The general contract (EPC) construction agreements for two solar power projects were signed.

The project is funded by the World Bank, REA is responsible for the implementation of the contracted project, which aims to help address the pressure on the people of the Northern region to use electricity and alleviate the current deteriorating security situation. It is expected to have a positive impact on the security and economic situation of the Northern region. As another progress of the strategic cooperation between DEC and MCC, Luo Zhigang, chairman of DEC (Electric International Co., Ltd.) led the team to attend project signing ceremony. DEC will participate and provide full support in the whole process of design, procurement, supervision and implementation for these two projects.

MCC promises to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of the contracted projects, and will promote in-depth cooperation with REA, constantly adopt new technologies and equipment to adapt to the growing demand for electricity in Nigeria, devote itself to solving the power bottleneck in the developing region.
